SAM BRADDOCK BACKSTORY
Sam Braddock is an ex-special forces officer of Canada's Joint Task Force 2 (JTF2). After he was involved in an Afghan mission gone wrong, he leaves the military and joins the Strategic Response Unit (SRU). At first, the tight-knit group of Team One has trouble accepting Sam, but as the series goes on, Sam becomes another valued member of the team. Due to his past experience in Afghanistan, Sam often believes that lethal force is always the solution rather than negotiating. Of course, as the series goes on, his views slowly start to change.

► "Behind the Blue Line" - A shooter inside a historic arena leaves Sam questioning his place on the team.
► "Clean Hands" - The SRU has a tough case where they must protect a serial killer during his return to Canada. Sam has to make sure a victim's father sees that taking the law into his own hands won't help anyone.
► "Scorpio" - The team has to deal with a disturbed man who has just murdered his estranged wife and who has now taken a woman hostage outside of an office building. Meanwhile, new team member Sam Braddock arrives.
► "Acceptable risk" - The team is being investigated by a SIU officer out for heads after a spree shooting gone wrong. (Sam reveals that when he was 10 had seen his younger sister die in front of him due a car hitting him)
