LEWIS YOUNG BACKSTORY
| Lewis grew up in Toronto in the tough neighbourhood of Jane and Finch. His father was a deadbeat and his mother an addict leaving him to find a family in one of the many teenage gangs of that area. Street wise and running against the law, Lou was turned around by a Pentacostal priest who knew the streets. That is how, after spending his teenage years in trouble with the law, Lou came to become a police officer and then a SRU member. Lou is religious but after seeing the afwul world of crime in person he does not blanche at using force to clean up the streets. Lewis died in the line of duty in the episode "One Wrong Move" after stepping on a landmine. He died as he lived, saving another. | |
